You might be wondering what 'nlphotographers.com' is all
about, who we are and why we started NLP to begin with. Have a
quick read through our
introduction and you'll
understand what we're all about! |
NLP is for all age levels, all skill
levels and all photographers in Newfoundland & Labrador.
Whether you shoot with a Canon Digital Elf or a Nikon D3, you're
welcome with open arms.
Simply put, we love photography. We love
it so much, we decided to start a FREE and professionally designed
site without any spam that is specifically geared towards photographers
in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Someone once
said "us newfoundlanders
do it differently, we
have a different take on
things and a different
way about us".

We
did this because we saw
a demand for
Newfoundland and
Labrador photographers
like you to communicate,
grow, expand, network
and just enjoy
photography with other
photographers just like
you.
Sites
like fredmiranda, nikonians, dpreview, etc. etc. are GREAT!
Honestly, check them out, but they're not Newfoundlanders and
Labradorians and they don't know us. They don't know our
weather, they don't know our pride, they don't
know our situation and they don't know us.

That's
why we're here.
So now that you're here, what is it all
about? What is a 'forum'? What is a 'message board'? To make
it easy, think of a message board like a bulletin board in a
community centre. Everyone in that community has access to that
message board and can post whatever they like. They can post
to sell something, ask for help, ask for advice, ask a question,
whatever they want.
In turn, anyone who views that community bulletin board can reply
to the original poster. It is the same
way here at NLP. If you want a
recommendation on a lens to buy for your
camera, ask here. If you want to know a
good spot to go shoot stars and the
night sky with-in 20miles of your city,
ask here. If you want to sell that old
camera bag you've got, do it here.
Ask and ye' shall receive!
Alternatively,
if you KNOW the answer to someone's call for help, answer it
and help a fellow Newfoundlander or Labradorian.
When we started this back in
November 2007 we had hopes of
success. We put up some funds, time
and effort into developing this site, launching it and continuing
to develop as it grows into something that everyone
involved from the newest registered user to the staff will be
proud to say they're a member of. |

we're here to help
people in NL grow as
photographers and do so
together, without fees,
without spam, without
commitment on an easy to
use and great looking
website.

The staff of NLP have zero to gain from
running this site, it is purely for the enjoyment and love of
photography and Newfoundland and Labrador that we run NLP.
